Toronto’s Multicultural Cuisine

Toronto is known as an international city for it’s multicultural inhabitants. The effects of having such a diverse population are felt throughout Toronto businesses and neighborhoods, and cuisine is no exception to this idea. Toronto has many distinct neighborhoods that often cater to the cultural background of the bulk of the population for that neighborhood. Little Italy and Corso Italia neighborhoods are known for their Italian Food. The many Chinatowns (6 in all) are especially recognized for not only Chinese but Vietnamese food as well. The Danforth neighborhood specializes in Greek cuisine, while The Annex caters to those looking for Hungarian good. Little India, Little Portugal and Little Jamaica all have food selections from their namesakes. Those looking for Polish fare should try Roncesvales and those wanting some Latin flavor can try Kensington Market.
